Prosim Appoints A Chinese Distributor

Feb 11, 2009

In order to capitalise on the potential of the Chinese orthopaedic market and its growing requirement for testing equipment to ensure that international testing standards are upheld, Prosim has appointed Gaitech.

The Prosim business has been built on the back of its relationship with Professor John Fisher’s team at Leeds University, over the last 12 years. Over that time, Prosim has worked closely with Leeds University to develop a range of simulators to meet their varied testing requirements, helping them maintain their position at the forefront of this field.

The benefits of this relationship have and continue to flow through into the marketplace enabling Prosim to provide a wide range of simulators that can be tailored to customers’ exact requirements whether that be for a single station or multiple station machine.

Gaitech has built up a strong reputation in the Chinese orthopaedic market, distributing a range of equipment and software which includes NDI’s Optotrak systems, Simpleware’s software and TestResources torsional testing equipment.

The Managing Director of Gaitech, Jenssen Chang, believes that armed with the Prosim simulators he will be able to accelerate the adoption and use of wear testing simulators for the pre-market testing of hip, knee and spinal implants. The strong relationship between Professor John Fisher’s team at Leeds University and Prosim will also enable Gaitech to share best practices across users.
