Duratt systems are designed around the real mix of tests needed across vehicle subsystems: chassis, suspension, body, interior, powertrain, batteries, motors, control electronics and tyres.
Suspension & road simulation
Reproduce real road inputs with quarter‑car, half‑car and four‑post suspension rigs (ST‑1, ST‑2, ST‑4) built on Duratt linear‑motor technology.
Typical test capabilities:
- Road‑spectrum and proving‑ground load replication
- Fatigue & durability of passive, semi‑active and active suspensions
- HIL (Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop) ride control development
- NVH, BSR (buzz, squeak & rattle) and end‑of‑line checks on assembled corners
Shock Absorbers, Air Springs & Coil Springs
The ST‑102 shock absorber testing systems and DT‑series dynamometers combine high‑performance linear actuators with dedicated damper software.
They support:
- Dynamic characterisation: damping force, force–velocity curves, static/dynamic stiffness, friction, response time
- Fatigue and durability under road‑spectrum loading
- NVH and HIL tests for semi‑active/active dampers
- Multi‑station rigs for production quality control and sample comparison
Rubber & Elastomer Components
For rubber mounts, bushings, top mounts, seals and other elastomeric parts, Duratt provides:
- DMA systems with environmental chambers from approx. –150 °C to +600 °C
- Single‑axis and multi‑axis rigs for axial, radial and torsional loading
- Triaxial bushing and mount testers with temperature control
Typical results include static/dynamic stiffness, fatigue life under road spectra, storage/loss modulus, tan δ, creep and crack growth – with support for widely used ISO and GB/T elastomer standards.
EV Batteries & E‑Drive Components
Duratt’s high‑performance linear actuators and thermal control options make them well suited to EV structural mechanics work:
- Static & dynamic tests on battery cells and pack structures (D2000T, D4000T, D8000T)
- Terminal torsion, short/long edge loading, tension/compression on cell connections
- Fatigue of copper plate solder joints in motor stators under realistic vibration profiles
- Temperature‑dependent behaviour of elastomers used in EV mounts, seals and NVH treatments
Interior, Body & Functional Components
Using standard Duratt dynamic frames and fixtures, you can also test:
- Seat durability & comfort
